“Herbs in Your Garden” Free Workshop March 23 from 10:30 am to Noon at Fluvannna Public Library

On Saturday March 23, 2013 the Fluvanna Master Gardeners are sponsoring a FREE educational workshop on "Herbs in Your Garden" at the Fluvanna Public Library on Route 53 in Palmyra, VA.

Herbs are easy to grow in central virginia without much effort. You can grow them in the ground or in containers, many will self-sow like dill and basil, and given the right location will persist through the winter. And, one of the best features is many of them are DEER RESISTANT!

At our garden workshop on herbs, we will feature annual and perennial herbs, recipes, and tips for successful herb gardening.

If you are a person with a disability and desire any assistive devices, services or other accommodations to participate in this activity, please contact John Thompson, VCE Fluvanna at 434-591-1950 during business hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to discuss accommodations 7 days prior to the event.*TDD number is (800) 828-1120.
