Master Naturalist Training – Information Sessions and Registration Deadline
MASTER NATURALIST TRAINING DEADLINE SOON!
The Rivanna Chapter of the Virginia Master Naturalists is pleased to announce that
the 2015 Basic Training will begin February 10 at the Ivy Creek Natural Area. This
year’s class will be on Tuesday evenings with some Saturday field trips scheduled. An
application form, reference forms and a tentative schedule are posted on the Rivanna
Master Naturalist website at http://www.vmn-rivanna.org/. For more information, email

The Virginia Master Naturalists is a corps of volunteers dedicated to conserving our
natural heritage. We work with our sponsoring State agencies and with local partnering
groups such as schools, parks, and environmental groups. We educate, gather scientific
data, maintain trails and perform other environmental endeavors. We have a broad range
of ages, interests and backgrounds. And we are looking for like minded people to join us.
We strongly encourage interested persons to attend one of our information sessions at
the Ivy Creek Natural Area Education Building at 1780 Earlysville Road, Charlottesville, VA 22903. You will meet various members of our chapter as well as learn about the training and volunteer commitments. The sessions are Tuesday, December 16th at 7 PM; Tuesday, January 6th at 7 PM; and Sunday, January 11th at 2 PM. Deadline for applications is January 12.
Classes begin February 10 and end May 26, every Tuesday from 6:30 to 9:30 PM at Ivy Creek Natural Area & some weekend field trips
