Presenter: John Thompson
About Session Presenter:John Thompson graduated from VT in 1997 with a BS in Animal Science and in 1998 with an MS in Agricultural Education. Since then he served as 4-H Youth Development Agent in Mississippi for six years, then returned to Virginia. John began work in Fluvanna County in 2005 as a 4-H Agent, transferring to the Agriculture role in 2007. His programming is that of a generalist, answering most calls that come into the office, and working closely with the Master Gardeners. He also is developing a small ruminant and beekeepers programs for Fluvanna and surrounding counties. He lives in Fluvanna with his wife Jenny, daughter Amber who is 8 and son Glenn who is 4.
