From Charlottesville: I-64 East, Exit #129 (Keswick) bear right onto Rt. 616, at stop light turn left on Rt. 250 and go 2.7 miles. The church is on the right. 
From Richmond: I-64, Exit #136 (Palmyra), turn left onto Rt.15 South, at the first stop light turn right onto Rt. 250 West and go 4.1 miles.  The church is on the left.  Facility is handicap accessible.

Heirloom Research and Design
Pat Ruggiero

Discussion will include research of heirloom plantings, reasons for the design and layout, as well as actual gardening methods such as raised beds, use of mulches, and basic period organic techniques.

Pat Ruggiero is a Master Gardener and has been an organic gardener for 15 years.

Native Plantings
Fran Boninti

This talk will cover growing native plants from soil to blossom, emphasizing soil and site conditions. We will also discuss different native plants themselves.

Fran Boninti is a Master Gardener and natural historian. She is a former garden guide and Saturday in the Gardens speaker who guided Bird Walks, Wildflower Walks, and Fern Walks at Monticello for 14 years.

Tom Burford, "Professor Apple"

This talk will provide an overview of the history of fruit in America, including kitchen orchards, cider orchards, and ornamental fruit tree plantings.

Tom Burford is an orchard and nursery consultant, author and apple historian, specializing in restoration, re-creation and design at historic sites and private estates. He is the author of Apples: A Catalog of International Varieties and Fruit Grafters Handbook, along with articles and manuals on apples, fruit tree propagation, and orchard management.
