Composting Workshop – open to all Fluvanna residents
FREE COMPOSTING WORKSHOP ON NOVEMBER 19 from 3 to 5 pm at LM Clubhouse
The Lake Monticello Owners’ Association Subcommittee on Leaf Disposal Alternatives has teamed with Fluvanna County, Fluvanna Extension Service and Fluvanna Master Gardens to offer a free comprehensive workshop on composting on Saturday, Nov. 19, from 3 to 5 PM in the Terrace Room of the Clubhouse on Ashlawn Blvd (enter through Main Gate). Master Gardener Irene Burke and others will talk about composting and demonstrate a variety of composting methods. There will be handouts and displays of composting equipment, including a number of Geobin systems, donated by Fluvanna County using the State grant for litter, recycling and education. There will be light refreshments and door prizes of composting systems.
